His spark has energized the rest of the lineup, as seven of nine Cubs starters hit home runs against the Brewers. With Monday night’s win, the Cubs still remain seven games behind the Brewers in the NL Central. However, they hold a comfortable five-game cushion over the Arizona Diamondbacks and San Diego Padres for the top Wild Card spot. With Chicago’s offense firing on all cylinders, the Cubs are building the kind of momentum that wins in October. If Crow-Armstrong and company can sustain this production, nobody will want to face them come playoff time and that includes the World Series-favorite Dodgers.
