Former Lions CB Terrion Arnold Will Reportedly Sign With Seattle Seahawks

Former Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold plans to sign with the Seattle Seahawks, according to ESPN. Arnold, a 2024 first-round draft pick, drew interest across the league despite his off-field issues, as he reportedly held free-agent visits with the Houston Texans, New Orleans Saints and New York Giants. The potential signing comes after the Lions released Arnold in June following his arrest on eight felony counts in Florida, including armed robbery, kidnapping, and conspiracy. With an agreement pending, the NFL must decide whether to place Arnold on the Commissioner’s Exempt List. If he were placed on special administrative leave, he would receive his salary but be barred from practicing or playing while facing felony charges. For Seattle, the 23-year-old could add depth to a defending Super Bowl champion defense. However, should Arnold be placed on the Commissioner’s Exempt List, the Seahawks could end up paying a player unable to contribute on the field. After the Lions drafted Arnold in 2024, he has played 24 games with 22 starts over two seasons. He has totaled 91 tackles, an interception and 18 pass breakups.
